Vote for winnable candidates - NDC vice chairman to delegates ahead of primaries

The Northern Regional Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Alhassan Abdul-Hamid has advised the party's delegates in the upcoming parliamentary primaries across the region to vote for candidates appealing to floating voters.

Alhaji Gbewaa as he is affectionately called made the appeal when he was addressing the media as part of his Sallah message to the Muslim community in the region.

"I want to use this opportunity to appeal to our delegates to vote for people that are attractive to everyone in their constituencies. Make sure all the constituents like the person you will vote for", he said.

"This is because we want to win more seats in 2024. At least 15 out of the 18 seats in Northern Region. We must form absolute majority in next parliament of Ghana ", the vice chairman added.

He also described the former president John Mahama who is contesting to lead the party into 2024 elections as the next president of Ghana, adding that he stands tall among his colleagues in the flagbearership race.
