Ah/R: No! To Any Form Of Mining-Techimantia Youth For Development Vows To The Public

Techimantia Youth For Development, at Tano South Municipality in the Ahafo Region of Ghana, has sent a strong warning to an individual or groups that has targeted the community and its environs for any form of illegal mining activities.


The whole surrounding communities have come together and agreed to campaign against illegal mining (Galamsey), including the Assembly Members, the Traditional Council, the Christian Council/GPCC, the Zongo Community and other relevant stakeholders.


Techimantia Youth For Development and the entire community have assessed the positive and negative effects of mining as compared to the enormous benefits of Agriculture and have therefore concluded that, they cannot stand the test of the Mining menace: Destruction of Agricultural land, Prostitution, Increase in Social vices among others.


The good people of Techimantia and the convenors of the campaign (TYD), hereby tells everyone who wants to undertake, intent to any form of mining activities in and around Techimantia to vacate and advice themselves accordingly before it becomes too late for them.



Techimantia and it's environs, vow to the general public that, NO TO ANY FORM OF MINING!!!.
