CHIEF OF YAW-KOKO CALLS ON GOVERNMENT OVER LACK DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS - BARIMA OKATA AMOA ll.



The Chief of Yaw-Koko in Ayensuano District in the Eastern Region, Barima Okata Amoa ll has called on the government and investors to come and help develop Yaw-Koko.



He said the wish of the Yaw-Koko Traditional Council is to see and witness the rapid development in all spheres of life within and around the Ayensuano District and its surrounding villages.


He said they are expecting rapid development in all areas of the District most especially in good roads, schools, hospitals, markets, and water just to mention a few.



In his speech took the opportunity to plead and beg all well-meaning investors both overseas and within Ghana to consider Yaw-Koko as their first destination for any meaningful investment due to its manpower and strategic location of this beautiful town called Yaw-Koko.


The paramount chief made this statement during the Yaw-Koko Odwira festival and five years celebration which was under the theme, "Unity and Development."


The chief calling on investors to come and invest in Yaw-Koko said, the citizens are very hard working and have a positive attitude towards work, adding that, the location of Yaw-Koko is strategic for every kind of legitimate business.




He explained that It takes a maximum of 15 minutes to drive from Yaw-Koko to Koforidua the regional Capital and 45 minutes to drive to the National Capital of Ghana which is Accra.




He pleaded that anyone planning to invest in Ghana and sitting the location at Yaw-Koko and Ayensuano District will never waste their investment in both the private sector and the central government to assist the youth of Suhum in securing jobs since the devil finds work for the idle hands.



The Yaw-Kokohene Barima Okata Amoa ll said the Yaw-Koko Traditional Council wants to appeal to all parents to ensure that all their school-going wards or kids are found in school during school hours so that they can also benefit from the success stories of the free Senior High School the government has initiated


He, therefore, appeal to the central government to consider establishing a polyclinic in the District since the government has building a new government hospital current population has outweighed their existing district hospital in the town and.


He therefore launched Barima Okata Amoa Foundation (BOA) to help the people of the community as he has already been doing it.


Barima Okata Amoa has done a lot of projects such as mechanized Bohels, street light bulbs, due deck, reshipping of roads and etc


The Deputy Ambassador to China Her excellency Joyce Akua Afreyie who witnessed the Yaw-Koko Odwira festival, said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led government by President Nana Akufo Addo has done a lot of infrastructure projects within 6 years and no government has constructed roads more than the NPP government as well as schools, one village one dam, water projects, one district one factory, hospitals and interchanges.



She added that she knows things are hard, like petrol increase, and lorry fares, but very soon things would turn around for Ghanaians so they should continue to support the government since they are working to fix things.



The Member of Parliament for Ayensuano Constituency Honourable Nana Yaw Tendy Addi also said the good people of Ayensuano should continue to support him in players and unity in Constituency and Yakoko community because NDC government will do everything possible to bring back the economy back on track.
