Catholic Priest Wishes Ghanaians A Very Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year

The Assistant Priest for St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (SFACC) New Tafo-Akim in the Eastern Region, Rev. Father George Yeaboah, wished Ghanaians especially Christians a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year in advance.

He urged Christians (Ghanaians) to give thanks to God and pray for continued blessings in the coming year.

On Christmas, we celebrate God's love in sending his beloved Son (the Word Incarnate) into our midst. We must endeavour to love one another as well as our homeland Ghana by extending a helping hand to the less privileged, in terms of food, drink, clothes, ideas, education, job opportunities, etc.

Rev Father George also pleaded with all Ghanaians to remember the vulnerable in the communities and extend some love and joy to them, a character of the season we celebrate.

On this day the Christian community joins Christians all over the world to mark this special birth of Jesus Christ and to thank God for his protection throughout the year.

I wish all Ghanaians a merry Christmas and a happy New year, he added.
