E/R: Newly Installed Chief Of Ankwa Dobro Promises Unity And Development

The newly installed Chief of Ankwa Dobro in the Eastern Region of Ghana, has expressed his readiness to prioritize unity and embark on a developmental drive to change the face of the area.

With unity standing out as a key ingredient towards achieving progress, a young Engineer crowned Apagyahene of Ankwa Dobro, Nana Kwaku Akuffo I, Known in private life as Mireku Michael Asante an Elder in the Apostolic Church of Ghana and the CEO of the SMT Group Comprising of SMT Construction LTD, SMT Pharmaceuticals and SMT World Travels was today enstooled the Apagyahene of Ankwa Dobro, while noting that this was the panacea to enhance investment and development in the area and called on the people to rally behind them in this quest.

The new traditional leader was enstooled in glamour at a colourful ceremony at Ankwa Dobro.

Speaking to Accra fm/CTV news reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel, after the ceremony, Nana Kwaku Akuffo I, expressed his profound gratitude to the people of Dobro for their show of immense support for them and willingness to welcome the new dawn.



"Nsawam is a gap-town that links Coastal Ghana to Northern Ghana and has a greater potential for breakthroughs through a well-coordinated agenda for development. I urge all and sundry to get ready to align with the positive transformation". Nana Kwaku Akuffo I said.



He further, cautioned against landguards clashes and individuals fomenting communal violence to desist from it.



He made this statement when Ankwa Dobro Omanhene, Nana Kwame Agyare ll, enstooled 14 new Chiefs at Ankwa Dobro Chief's Palace.


On her part, Amankradohemaa of Ankwa Dobro, Awo Amponsah also poised to fight teenage pregnancy in the community for sustainable development.

According to her, it is about time parents and community leaders come together to teach young girls the causes and consequences of being a victim of teenage pregnancy. She noted that, she believes such initiative will go a long way to eradicate or drastically reduce teenage pregnancy in the area.

Amankradohemaa Awo Amponsah made this known to Accra fm/CTV news reporter, Apelete Kofi-Michel, during the installation of new Chiefs for Ankwa Dobro Communities today.


Nana Kwame Agyare ll on his part said, the event rekindled joy in the Dobro community. He was hopeful that the installation of new Chiefs would encourage the traditional leadership to join forces with the government to enhance development in the community.

He urged the new Chief to pursue unity in the interest of their people, adding that unity breeds progress and development.

Nana Kwame Agyare also called on all Nananom to support the new leaders to ensure that they succeeds in their vision for Ankwa Dobro community.
