On his part, Mr Emmanuel Agbashie (Senior Civic Education Officer said Nurture the next generation of the youth to take up the mantle after us.

So our toil and hard work be protected and improved upon for our children's children to benefit. Thirty years back most of us were around and we know the stress and difficulties we went through.

He asked would you want your children to go through that same struggle? That is why it is imperative to nurture our youth to hold on to what we have now, improve it and consolidate it for our children's children, just like how countries outside Africa have built their democracies.

The baton is with us, we have to transfer it to the youth. Are the youth ready? They can only be ready when we NURTURE them. Let us make it a point to nurture them wherever we find ourselves.
