E/R: YILO MP CUTS SOD FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF MEDICAL THEATRE FOR KLO-AGOGO HEALTH CENTRE

In line with his vision of up-lifting the Klo-Agogo Health Centre to a Polyclinic status, Member of Parliament for Yilo Krobo Constituency of the Eastern Region of Ghana, Dr. Albert Tetteh Nyakotey has cut sod for the Construction of a Medical Theatre for the Klo-Agogo Health Centre.

The event took place on the 30th of December 2023 at Klo-Agogo. Present at the ceremony were Chiefs and elders of all Communities within the enclave. This project when completed is expected to bring huge relief to inhabitants of the area who have had to fall on the highly pressured medical facility at Klo-Agogo for Medical care.

The Klo-Agogo Health centre has remained a referral facility for most clinics and CHPS compounds across the zone, receiving patients from Ahinkwa, Nsutapong, Opersika, Aboa-Osuboniya and Aboa-Besease areas. The absence of a Medical theatre has become an impediment on the delivery of medical care as many Doctors have had to seek transfer away from the facility due to the absence of a theatre to perform simple medical procedures.

The MP, speaking at the event reiterated his commitment to improving the health care conditions of his people, hence the gesture. He expressed his desires to continue supporting the Klo-Agogo facility in order to elevate it to a Polyclinic status.

Nene Odzeyem, Chief of Agogo, was full of praise for Dr. Albert Nyakotey for delivering on a major need of the Chiefs and people of the area.

RENATECH Construction Limited, the Construction firm that won the bid to execute the contract indicated their commitment to completing the contract within a year.
