Members Of Team KKB Respond To Irresponsible Comments Made By Edward Bawa On Live TV

Members of team KKB response to irresoonsible comments made by Edward Bawa against Mr. Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem (controller and Accountant General) during a TV show on TV3 9th December 2023, on a show call called Key point.


This made the KKB team unhappy, therefore, the team called for a press conference on 13th December 2023 to respond to what Mr. Edward Bawa said about Mr. Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem.


Team KKB demands well addressed apology from Mr. Bawa on the same national television.

RESPONSE TO IRRESPONSIBLE COMMENTS MADE BY EDWARD BAWA
AGAINST MR. KWASI KWANING-BOSOMPEM(CONTROLLER AND
ACCOUNTANT GENERAL)

Chairman, Team KKB, Fellow members of Team KKB, Media team present, Our Cherished Delegates, Ladies and Gentlemen.


Permit me to thank you all for honoring our invitation to this all-important press briefing which we believe will help articulate our message to the good people of Ghana andallparty members of the great NPP Party.


We wake up to a viral video of Tv3 program, the Key Point on Saturday 9thDecember,2023 where one of the discussants,Edward Bawa who is a close associate of Ishmael Akoto
(Kennedy Osei Nyarko) made an emphatic statement that the Controller and Accountant General has put delegates in his constituency on the government payroll for the past 2 years and we think this is unfortunate andalsoan absurdity that do not have basis.


As the Controller and Accountant General Department said in it's statement on Saturday,9th December,2023, we won’t waste much of your time to recapitulate what has already been issued in the public domain by the Department,but,to let you know,significantly, the man Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem ,who he is and what he stands for;


1. As an NDC member of parliament, his interest will be to destroy the Npp government just to score cheap political pointfor his party.Our checks have revealed that the said information was given by the Mp for Akyem Swedrujust to tarnish the image of Controller without thinking about it consequenceson the Nana Addo’s government and that of the NPP and we would be interested to know the motive behind the MP's
conduct.


2. We just want to place on record that the Mp doesn’t have the constituency executives as well as the polling station executives at heart for which reason he wants to disgrace everybody in the constituency including such a great opinion leader who has been of help to the constituency.


3. For the disgrace the Mp has brought unto usas a constituency and a Party,we want to tell him that enough is enough and would not countenance such disgraceful conduct anymore; the constituency deserves better.


4. At this juncture we wish to encourage you all to stand firm aspolling station executivesand vote against the Mp for what he has done. Letus continue to remain resolute for there is light ahead of us as we kick start the election process come
Wednesday,20thDecember,2023.


5. Mr. Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem is a self-made man long before he became Controller and Accountant General and if there is the need to help delegates in his constituency,
that would not be the burden that the state would have to bear, he has all it takes to executehis political ambition in not too distant future.


6. Mr. Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem has remained credible, high on integrity, trustworthy, intelligent, professionally competent and has significantly turn the Public Financial Management System in Ghana around for which reason he will never do anything to
undermine his integrity. He is sufficiently grateful for how the Lord has blessed him.


7. As a Professional Chartered Management Accountant whose area of work requires him to safeguard the purse of this nation would not fraudulently commit such a heinous offence against the state and as his constituents, friendsandfamily have
known him all these years, you cannot discount his benevolence to his constituency and the Birim South District way back before he became Controller and Accountant General.


8. At the time when Mr. Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem had his first unbroken period of work with the Controller and Accountant General’s Departmentway back even before
1988,Edward Bawa was 15 years by which time he did not even know how his fate wouldbein life.

It would therefore be proper that he verifies every bit of issue he intends raising about Mr. Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem and not to allow himself to be manipulated by his colleague MP, who has identity issues (multiple dates of birth)etc.


9.Mr. Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem has been a source of help to ourDistrict,
Constituency and Ghana as a whole and in every bit of help and support he has given to his people for more than 27 years have all come from his personal sweat.


10.Edward Bawa succinctly exhibited his ignorance just like his friend Ishmael Akoto who has IDENTITY ISSUES because if he Bawa was minded and not because of political expediency, he would have realized that it is even in the era of the current
Controller andAccountant General (Mr. Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem) that government workers on Controllers’ payroll have to be validatedeach month before they are paid.


How then does he go for such an assignment to disgrace himselfand to
create a bad name for Mr. Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem.


11. We want to advise Edward Bawa and others who think alike that they either touch Kwaning-Bosompem in truth to be at peace or touch him deceitfully and face our wrath, we will never allow any individual because of his selfish and parochial interest to harm a good man like KKB.


12. The call by Edward Bawa for the OSP to investigate the matter is well on point as the Department has already indicated and we believe that will also help in exposing his ignorance and their grand scheme to tarnish the image of Mr.Kwasi Kwaning Bosompem who has at all times remained credible and high on integrity.


13. Equally, we will be grateful if Bawa can also invite the OSP, CID, Ghana Police Service and other investigative bodies in Ghana to investigate the Mp for Akyem Swedru for the multiplicity of his date of birth which raises serious identity issues about him which cast doubt about his genuineness.


14. Kindly permit me to address this issue of concern which relates to an interview granted by the Mp for Akyem Swedru to his Fm station (Bosome Fm) on Monday 11th December, 2023 where he alleged that followers of Mr. Bosompem have accused him during a thanksgiving serviceat the Presbyterian Church of Ghanaon Sunday, 10th December, 2023 of a letter written to the OSP for Controller to be investigated.


15. The Mp during this interview also made the point that Controller was at the thanksgiving service when the announcement was made but failed to call the individual follower to order.


16. We wish to state here and now that the allegations made by the MP above as having been mentioned at the Presby Church as the one who has petitioned the OSP is untrue,
unfounded and baselesssince hewas not mentioned during the announcement made by my good self on that fateful Sunday. Family members and congregants were
informed to ignore the viral video in circulation accusing controller of fixing names of delegates from Akyem Swedru on government payroll since it was an attempt by the opponent of KKB to tarnish his image in his quest to contest the Akyem Swedru Parliamentary seat.


17. We were surprised to have seen a statement issued by the Mp for Akyem Swedru in the late evening on Sunday 10th December,2023 denying the allegations made by Edward Bawa that none of his delegates are on the government payroll and all the issues raised by Bawa were untrue and unfounded.


18. The question we want to ask is since when did the Akyem Swedru MP, Ishmael Akoto (Kennedy Osei Nyarko)changed his name to Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem? Is it not
strange that an MP, whom no allegation had been made against would hurriedly issue a statement to deny a matter that his PRO (Maccecil Appiah Mensah/Kwadwo Chief) had writtensome minutes before the MPissued his statementto tell one of our communicators that we should take Kennedy (MP) out of the issue and deal with our mess?


19. Where therefore was the MPs interest? was it an attempt to just pretend to solidarize with KKB for people to know that he knew nothing about the falsity put out by his friend and colleague Bawa? If you live in a glass house don’t throw stones.


20. We want to assure the public that our mission to win the parliamentary seat in the interest of the masses is on course and we shall do nothing untoward to preserve the peace we enjoy. That notwithstanding,we as a team will not countenanceany form of agenda settingto destroy a good man like Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem and will appropriatelyand vehemently respondin equalmeasure to any issue broughtforth in pursuitofan agenda to benefit the MP.
