New Juaben North NPP Constituents Warn Bryan Acheampong to Stay Away From Their Parliamentary Primaries

NPP delegates and constituents in the New Juaben North Constituency of the Eastern Region of Ghana have expressed deep concerns about Hon. Bryan Acheampong's sudden interest in the upcoming Parliamentary Primaries in the Constituency.


The Constituents say the Minister's interest in the primaries is a storm against a seasoned politician Hon. Hackman Owusu Agyemang's preference of candidate Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong as the next Member of Parliament for the constituents.

Excerpts of a statement released by Concern New Juaben North NPP Delegates led by Kankam Twumasi Daniel read "Hon. Bryan Acheampong and his team of plotters sudden interest in New Juaben North has raised eyebrows especially considering their alleged rivalry with Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong the current Eastern Regional Minister as Hon. Hackman's preferred candidate for the upcoming Parliamentary Primaries"

" The involvement of Hon. Bryan Acheampong's team and their endorsement of Nana Osei Agyei as being propagated by Nana Osei Agyei's campaign team members has intensified concerns, potentially leading to disorganization that could impact the NPP's prospects in the 2024 elections in the New Juaben North Constituency and may affect the fortunes of the NPP in breaking the 8 years political cycle which the party is working tiredlessly to achieve" the statement read.



The Concern NPP Delegates also expressed fear that the possibility that Hon. Bryan Acheampong's motivated hatred for Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong may stand against Hon. Hackman Owusu Agyemang's choice further complicating the selection of a parliamentary candidate in Hon. Hackman Owusu Agyemang's own Constituency which will have a potential consequences for the NPP's political fortunes in the looming elections.



*Background Raising Suspicions*

According to the Concern NPP Delegates in New Juaben North, "Hon Bryan Acheampong's political animosity for Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong motivated him to lead a campaign against Chairman Kwadjo Boateng Agyemang former Constituency Chairman of New Juaben North Constituency and a nephew of Hon. Hackman Owusu Agyemang when he contested for Eastern Regional Chairmanship position".

The Concern NPP Delegates and constituents of New Juaben North Constituency therefore demands national attention to call Hon. Bryan Acheampong to order to avert further discord within the party and for unity to prevail.
