THE ENSTOOLMENT OF GIFTY AKOSUA FRIMPOMAA AS KYIDOMHENE OF BEDIESI.

Gifty Akosua Frimpomaa, an industrious business woman has been enstooled as the first Kyidomhene of Bediesi, Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern Region.

The enstoolment of Kyidomhene took place at the Bediesi park on Tuesday, 22nd November,2022, during which heads of the clans of Bediesi, as tradition demanded, had the power to validate or deny the candidature of Gifty Akosua Frimpomaa as the Kyidomhene.

However, it was upon her acceptance and zeal that, she was made to swear the oath of allegiance to his royal highness, Bediesihene Barima Ofori Mintah II and the entire people of Bediesi.

Kyidomhene Gifty Akosua Frimpomaa expressed her gratitude for the responsibility bestowed on her, accept in good fate and pledged to contribute with her very best to bringing development to Bediesi and the nation as a whole.

She admonished that, the whole town of Bediesi should let unity be their hallmark and that if they are united, it will foster progress in the society.

She added that, Teenage pregnancy is one of the biggest challenge in the Constituency. The rate of teenage pregnancy can be reduced if the people especially, the women and teenagers are well educated on the causes, effects and preventions as well as abreast of family planning. This she said, will help reduce teenage pregnancy.



His Royal Highness Bediesihene Barima Ofori Mintah II was elated to enstool Kyidomhene and thanked all who came to support to make the occasion a success. Enstooling Kyidomhene will help the Chief and the entire Bediesi go a long way. He added that, now they have Kyidomhene, series of meetings will be held and put things in order to make Bediesi a remarkable community.



Plans have been put in place which Honourable Gifty Twum Ampofo has given her consent to help the community get a school as discussed.



Again, he advised and pleaded with the youth to be humble, pay heed to their parents, take their education and studies serious and added that, it will make them prominent citizens in the society rather than looking for short ways to get rich or become successful in life.



The all black-attaire ceremony was graced by His Royal Highness Bediesihene Barima Ofori Mintah II, Osaberima Etto Adomako-Etookrom Hene, Barima Appiah Kubi- Bososdumasihene, Queens mothers and brought together the entire Constituency of Abuakwa North.

The Kyidomhene was accorded the stool name, Nana sebeh Frempomaa I.
