Senior High School Selection Starts August 23

The Ministry of Education has just recently issued a press release in which it announced the beginning of the school selection process for the applicants who will be taking the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in 2023.

Following the briefing on the procedure and modus, the selection of the schools got underway right away.

The Ministry has produced an educational movie that goes into greater detail on the selection process. This video will be shown in classrooms around the country and will also receive extensive broadcast on a number of different television networks.

Parents/Guardians, graduates of BECE, and members of the general public are all strongly invited to take an active role in the selection process and are reminded of the significance of the timelines that are provided below.

The dates of August 23rd through September 4th, 2023 have been set aside for the School Selection Period. Candidates will be provided with selection forms to fill out and return to the Head Teacher of their Junior High School during this time period.

According to the information provided, interested parties may visit the official website of the Free Senior High School (SHS) Secretariat at www.freeshs.net in order to view the video and download the application form.
