NPP Super Delegates Conference: Proxy application extended to August 5

The deadline for submitting proxy applications for the Special Electoral College election has been extended by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Elections Committee to Saturday, August 5, at 10 am.


The initial filing deadline for the proxy application was set for Wednesday, August 2, at 5 p.m.

But according to a statement released by the committee and signed by its secretary William Yamoah, the new deadline was declared in response to various issues that potential candidates had brought up.

According to the statement, "it is hoped that the extension will give potential applicants plenty of time to be able to comply with the requirements."
