Doja Cat’s verified status on Twitter was removed, but she doesn’t seem too upset about it and claimed that blue checks are only for “desperate people.”

The rapper apparently is not perturbed about losing her confirmed status and instead sees the blue check as a sign of insecurity.

On Tuesday, April 11, she posted on Twitter to discuss the experience in general. She cited a fan story of hers that claimed she was running out of time without the blue tick.

But Doja appeared unconcerned, claiming that “only fans have blue ticks.” She was likely going to pay for the authentication of her account, according to another fan, which would indicate that Elon Musk had done anything to her.
