Man stabs and kills friend over GH¢30

Godknows Tamakloe, a 22-year-old unemployed man, has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of David Korbla Klutsey.

Godknows, a Ketu South resident, is accused of assisting his stepbrother, Remember Tamakloe, in stabbing the victim (David) on October 20, 2022, following a quarrel about GH-30.

Later, on October 23, David died in a hospital while receiving medical treatment.

Police Chief Inspectorr Esperance Agbo testified before the Agbozume Magistrate's Court, which was presided over by Mr. Issah Iddrisu, saying, "Remember sold a mobile phone to the dead and was left with a balance of GH30.00."

He stated that Remember and Godknows went to David for the money, and that a scuffle followed, and that David slapped the suspect, who fell to the ground.

According to Chief Inspector Agbo, during the ensuing confusion, Godknows grabbed the victim from behind while Remember stabbed him.

According to the prosecution, the victim was transported to the hospital and died a few days later, while the stepbrother was apprehended and transferred to the police station.

Godknows, who was charged for the first time on October 23, 2022, is set to appear in court for the fourth time on December 20.

Rember Tamakloe, on the other hand, has fled the scene of the crime.

Meanwhile, the deceased's body has been deposited in the morgue at Sacred Heart Hospital in Abor while an autopsy is performed.
