10th anniversary of the founder of the voice of the Lord Evangelical Church Launched In Koforidua

Members of the voice of the Lord Evangelical church have launched the tenth anniversary of the death of their founder of the church, Apostle Samuel Appiah in Koforidua, the capital city of the Eastern Region.

The yearlong celebration will be used to remember and celebrate the founder of his humanitarian services to mankind before passing on to eternity.

The voice of the Lord Evangelical church was founded in 1976 by Apostle Samuel Young Appiah in the Eastern Region.

Before his calling to the Lord’s Ministry, he was seriously sick and the family used every means to heal him but to no avail. On Tuesday 3rd September, 1974 when he was sitting outside meditating, they said, the spirit of Lord lifted him up and walked him to one corner of his room and within a few minutes his swollen stomach was miraculously heal.

Two years later, they said the Lord appeared onto him again and tasked him to establish a church and name it, “The Voice of the Lord Evangelical Church”. The church is currently having over 50 branches nationwide with more than one hundred thousand members. The church has also contributed to the country’s economy through agriculture, health and education.

The General Secretary of the Church, Apostle Eric Appiah described the founder as a selfless leader and a heroe who has healed and helped many in diverse ways to the glory of God. He said current leadership of the church will continue to use his good leadership role to grow the church to win more souls for Christ.
