I have many professionals ready to work with me as President - Ken Agyapong

Presidential aspirant, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has addressed the criticisms that he lacks intellectual prowess and temperament required for the presidential role, asserting that he has a formidable backing of university professors, lecturers, and professionals who are convinced of his message and commitment to the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) campaign for Election 2024.

Agyapong emphasized his seriousness about leading the NPP and breaking the "8-year cycle" with an impressive team of intellectuals supporting his cause. He expressed these sentiments during a health walk event in Accra known as "The Showdown Walk" on Saturday, September 16.

"I have met at least 45 of them [professionals] in Accra. Monday, I am going to meet lecturers at Tech [KNUST]. Many of these intellectuals have seen and are aware that Ken Agyapong has a message and want Ghanaians to give Ken Agyapong the chance," Agyapong stated.

He elaborated on his pragmatic plans for leading the NPP to Election 2024, outlining his vision to transform Ghana's economy. Agyapong emphasized that his approach would prioritize practical solutions over theoretical approaches and focus on addressing the needs of ordinary Ghanaians.

Agyapong also stressed his commitment to boosting tourism in Ghana and reversing the trend of migration from the north to the south in search of job opportunities. He envisioned a scenario where people from the south would migrate to the north to capitalize on the abundant agricultural opportunities in the region.

According to Agyapong, Ghanaians are ready to entrust him with leadership because of his business acumen and philanthropic efforts. He believes that, as a businessman, he can offer a unique perspective to governance and economic development.

He concluded by highlighting the historical precedence of economists, lawyers, and soldiers assuming leadership roles in Ghana and asserted that it was time to give a businessman the opportunity to lead and demonstrate his capabilities, particularly in the realm of business expertise, where he believes he excels among all the contestants.
