Kennedy Agyapong Vows to Secure Victory in 2024 Election as NPP Flagbearer

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a hopeful presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has made a bold promise to the party's delegates. He assured them that if elected as the party's flagbearer, he would emerge victorious in the 2024 election.

Agyapong, who described himself as a confident and experienced candidate, expressed his belief that he could easily defeat John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

"I assure delegates that I will defeat John Mahama hands down in the general election if elected to lead the NPP," he stated.

Addressing party delegates and supporters at Cape Coast chapel square, Agyapong emphasized his vision for a stronger and greater Ghana. He stressed his commitment to the nation's growth and prosperity, a vision that transcended political affiliations.

Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, highlighted his qualities as a truthful, unifying, patriotic, and disciplined leader who could rally the grassroots and secure victory for the NPP in 2024.

He urged the delegates not to be swayed by intimidation or inducement, emphasizing the importance of standing strong in their decision-making. "Don’t be intimidated by anyone. You make the Jubilee House, so don’t allow anyone to influence your vote. Resist or give them a showdown," he advised.

Agyapong warned that the success of the NPP in the upcoming delegates' conference on November 4 would significantly impact the party's performance in the general election.

He also cautioned the Police Service and Electoral Commission to ensure free and fair elections, promising to resist any attempts at interference.

Agyapong's vision includes the transformation of the Central Region by capitalizing on its tourism potential, particularly the effective management of historical sites such as castles and forts. He pledged to implement policies and interventions in industrial and natural resource sectors for the country's development.

Highlighting his past contributions to the party, Agyapong reiterated that the well-being of the Ghanaian people remained his top priority.

Agyapong's "showdown walk" drew a diverse crowd of people who believed in his potential to drive the country's development, irrespective of their political affiliations.
