Togolese National Apprehended for Attempted Sale of Co-worker for Ritual

The Central Police Command detains Haruna Muba, a 30-year-old Togolese national, over allegations of attempting to sell his 20-year-old co-worker for GHC80,000 to facilitate money rituals at a galamsey site in Denkyira Ayanfuri, Upper Denkyira West District.

In a coordinated effort, residents, journalists, and BNI officials set up an ambush in an uncompleted building upon receiving information about the illicit transaction. The suspect was apprehended as he arrived, finding the victim bound with a rope, his mouth and eyes covered, awaiting the purported buyers for the ritual.

Disturbingly, this incident follows previous allegations against Haruna, including an attempt to behead his 17-year-old niece.

Currently held in custody at the Dunkwa Divisional Police Command, Haruna is assisting the police in their ongoing investigation.
