Victoria Lebene clarifies misunderstanding, denies harboring ill feelings towards Yvonne Nelson

Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur, Victoria Lebene, has addressed the public's perception that she holds negative sentiments towards fellow actress Yvonne Nelson, following her social media critique of Yvonne's memoir titled "I am not Yvonne Nelson."

Yvonne's recently released memoir has generated significant shock and sparked online discussions due to its mention of influential figures. Victoria Lebene, who is married to Ghanaian blogger Nkonkonsa, shared her perspective on the matter, leading to disagreement from fans.

However, in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Victoria Lebene clarified that she does not harbor any hatred towards Yvonne Nelson, despite their past falling out due to her husband's write-up about Yvonne. She acknowledged Yvonne's right to express her feelings but expressed her belief that some of the intimate details shared in the memoir went too far.

"I do not hate Yvonne, not at all. I just feel she went overboard with some of the intimate details she shared. I am not saying Yvonne shouldn't voice out how she felt, but she should have been sensitive on how she went about it," Victoria stated.

She emphasized that while sharing personal experiences can be healing for some individuals, it is crucial to consider the impact on others involved in those experiences who may also need healing.

Victoria Lebene highlighted the example of Sarkodie, a prominent figure mentioned in Yvonne's book, and expressed concerns about the effects such revelations could have on his family and brand.

"Sarkodie is bigger now, he wasn't big at the time. You should consider the person's reputation because he is a married man with children. The emotions of the wife and the children all come into play," she explained.

Victoria Lebene also pointed out that not everyone possesses the same resilience as Yvonne Nelson, and some individuals may struggle with such explicit revelations.

She shared her intentions for the future, expressing her desire to write a book that empowers and advises people instead of delving into explicit personal experiences.

"If I have to write a book, it will be one to empower people, to advise people. I don't think I want to give a memoir of how I have had sex or how many times I have had an abortion; it doesn't make sense. But this doesn't mean I hate her; this is my opinion. It is okay if it's a strategy to sell the book, but sometimes, we should check the sensitivity of things we say and do," Victoria Lebene concluded.

In her clarification, Victoria Lebene aimed to debunk the perception of ill feelings towards Yvonne Nelson and emphasized the importance of considering the sensitivities involved when sharing personal experiences.
