You are not courageous, honourable enough - Afenyo-Markin confronts Deputy Minority leader

The deputy majority leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin has described the deputy minority leader as someone who lack courage for failing to accept he mistake.

His comment comes after the Deputy Minority leader, Emmaneul Armah Kofi Buah failed to withdraw a statement he made suggesting that the house was not impressed with the absence of the minister for finance minister in the chamber.

Afenyo-Markin was of the view that the deputy minority leader erred for saying the whole house is not impressed with the finance minister is untrue.

But Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, said he meant the minority side of the house and not the whole house stating that the Deputy majority leader was twisting his words.

Based on this Afenyo-Markin said that Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah should be courageous and honorable to accept mistakes.

He said; “Mr Speaker he who comes with equity must first do equity and must come with clean hands, you see the deputy minority leader is a very sensitive person, who is sensitive to words, now you are saying that a statement that you boldly made that this house is now been modified to mean that side of the house. If that is what you meant, why didn’t you say so and you are not courageous and honourable enough to accept your mistake. Then you now say that somebody’s rise to fame is twisting people’s statements. I didn’t twist your statement and I didn’t use that to rise to any fame, I don’t need it. I would want to earn it through hard work and merit, so with the greatest respect it is your statement that I sort to get you to clarify, The Minister for Finance is a human like you,” he said.
