Blessing Rising Nigerian singer Mariam Akiode, better known as Candy Bleakz, has revealed something about herself.
She disclosed that after she ran away from home at age 16, she vowed never to return until she was a millionaire.
The Chocolate City signee disclosed this while appearing on Ebuka Obi-Uchendu's Rubbin' Minds program on Channels TV.
She stated, "When I left home, I did so with the mentality, 'I'm leaving home to sustain home.' And I didn't want to return home unless I was carrying large luggage.
Therefore, I communicate [with my family], but I did not wish to return home. Because you have been gone for a long time, your siblings and family are waiting for you to return.
Based on what people believe and what they see online, they believe you have trillions of dollars in your bank account. So that I could return home, I needed a lot of sacks [of money]. I have been communicating, however."
Candy Bleakz disclosed that she reconnected with her family in recent times.
The 'Wole' singer stated that her parents are pleased with her career choice.
She stated that no one knew she was a singer until she gained prominence.
