It's An Insult To Party Chairmen, To Suggest They've Been Bribed To Support Bawumia – BMW

Rashid Inusah, a prominent member of the Bawumia Must Win (BMW) campaign in the Ashanti Region, has stated that it is an insult to the party's regional chairmen to imply that they have been bribed to abdicate their votes for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

In an interview with Ultimate FM, Mr. Rashid stated that it would be unjust for anyone to unfairly tarnish the image of the party's leadership based solely on internal politics.

On Wednesday, August 2, 2023, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong's campaign team released a statement alleging vote-buying and machinations on the part of Dr. Bawumia.

In response to the allegation, Mr. Rashid noted that the allegations were baseless and without merit.

He stated that any attempt to tarnish Dr. Bawumia's and party leaders' reputations will fail.

"It is preposterous how some candidates are campaigning for the upcoming elections. How can someone accuse our party Chairmen of accepting bribes to do Dr. Bawumia's bidding? Are people claiming that Chairman Wontumi will vote for Bawumia with only 10,000 votes? "How could anyone possibly think that?"

This is an affront to these Chairmen, no one has been bribed, these actions must cease, and they are unhealthy for the party. He stated

Rashid Inusah, however, noted that Bawumia's popularity extends beyond the delegates to the majority of Ghanaians.

"Dr. Bawumia is an honorable individual who is adored by all. His interactions with delegates and the affection he receives wherever we travel are evidence of the Bawumia effect on the people.

"Isha Allah, Dr. Bawumia will lead the NPP into the 2024 elections on November 4, and he will be sworn in as President of the Republic of Ghana on January 7, 2025," he emphasized.
