You're Ignorant If Your Party Affiliation Determines What You Criticise – Lydia Forson

Lydia Forson, a Ghanaian actress, has vehemently spoken out against the practice of labeling New Patriotic Party (NPP) critics as members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

She believes that citizens should be able to offer constructive criticism without fear of being labeled as political.

She explained that a person's political affiliation should never determine their ability to express concerns or objections.

As a fervent critic herself, she noted that those who harbor animosity towards government critics based solely on their political leanings are impeding progress and development.

In her own words, she stated, "You are incredibly stupid, ignorant, and evil if your party affiliation dictates what you support or criticize."

In her statement, she illuminated how Ghanaians' party affiliations prevent them from confronting corruption and holding politicians accountable.

According to the 'Eno' actress, this lack of accountability enables certain politicians to exploit the apathy of the people.

Lydia Forson exhorted Ghanaians to abandon the "you're NDC/NPP" rhetoric and address issues directly, calling for a shift in emphasis.

She emphasized that holding politicians accountable for their words and deeds is crucial to the country's actual progress and development.

In addition, the talented actress invoked a potent analogy, urging the audience to envision relying on their party cards when seeking medical care at a facility such as the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospita.
