Fire engulfs girls' dormitory of Wa Senior High Technical School

Some students of the Wa Senior High Technical School are yet to recover from shock after the girls' dormitory of the school caught fire Sunday evening.

The fire which was said to have started around 8:pm Sunday, January 22, 2023, reportedly razed down the five rooms of the floor of the building housing the girls.

However, the intervention by the Ghana Fire Service ensured the inferno was prevented from causing more damage to the other parts of the main building.

The fire personnel could not immediately ascertain the cause of the fire but indicated investigations were underway to unravel the cause of the inferno.

Some students who were traumatised by the incident were taken to a nearby health facility for medical attention.

There were no reported casualties according to the fire personnel.
