GFA Elections: Senior Minister endorses Kurt Okraku for second tenure

The UW RFA Chairman, Alhaji S.D. Yahaya Biyad also known as Senior Minister in GFA circles, has endorsed the Association' President, Kurt E.S. Okraku, for second tenure.

This is the third massive endorsement the GFA president has received after Greater Accra and Eastern Regional chairmen openly endorsed him for a second term.

The GFA president made his intention of seeking for re-election during the 29th Ordinary Congress of the Association in Kumasi.

Speaking to the press in Wa to declare his support for the GFA Capo, the 'senior minister' as he is affectionatly called,"
officially declared his support to back Kurt E.S. Okraku to stand for second term of his office. "I will give my blessings and thump print to enable him win the second term. If he wins and I win, I will implement exactly what he says." as he declares.

The senior minister pledges his 100 percent support and also sought for Allah's protection and guidance for the GFA president as he will be heading towards the polls.



Alhaji S. D. Yahaya revealed the numerous reasons why he is throwing his weight behind the imcumbent as he tables the success story of Kurt E.S Okraku ranging from polices and programmes that are grassroot football friendly, the increment and continuous flow of subventions to the RFA's. The brilliant concept of "Catch Them Young Referees" programme and the recent pledge to absorb officiating fees for division two, three and women division one league clubs at the regional level are some of the reasons why the GFA Capo should be retained.

The UW RFA chairman is the longest serving RFA chairman in the country.

The GFA is yet to announce the road map for the upcoming elections which will determine the incumbency of Kurt E.S.Okraku or otherwise.
