Speaker of Parliament donates sets of jerseys to three Division One League clubs in UWR

The Rt.Hon Speaker of Ghana's Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has donated three set of jerseys to the three division one teams in the upper west region ahead of the commencement of the Access Bank division one league season.

Presenting the donation on behalf of the Speaker, the Upper West Regional Football Association (UW RFA), chairman, Alhaji S.D. Yahaya, thanked the Speaker for the kind gesture and went ahead to solicit more support for football clubs in the region.

On his part, Awudu Ishaq, speaking on behalf of the Speaker, catalogued a series of sports developmental projects undertaken by the speaker including the recent renovation of the Wa Malik Jabir Park and the numerous support he offered to SungShinning Ladies FC in recent times.

He went further to detail how the Rt Hon Speaker is ready to offer more support to the development of sports in the region.

On behalf of the beneficial clubs, Atow Rahman, team Manager of Maana FC, thanked the Speaker for the donation and also acknowledges his immense contributions and solicited for more support ahead of their new campaign.



Two sets of jerseys and five footballs were received by each club and the beneficial clubs are: Suntaa SC, Maana FC and Wa Power SC.



The donation was apt as the clubs are preparing in ernest ahead of the new Access Bank division one league season.



The Access Bank National one league is set to commence on 4th October, 2023 for the 2023/24 season.
