Members are celebrated by UEW Credit Union Cape Coast through media engagement.

During Customer Service Month, the University of Education Winneba Credit Union hosts a week-long celebration of its members, and as part of this, their Cape Coast branch organizes media engagement with members.

The month of October has been designated as World Customer Service Month around the world.

Mr. J. F. Danquah, manager of the UEW Credit Union office in Cape Coast, spoke to the media about their program for this week. Prior to the start of such a program, in-service training was organized for their team to better equip them to care for their members.

Here are the specifics:

Monday: Staff members called union members to encourage those who are struggling to pay their loans for acceptable reasons and to congratulate those who are doing well. This activity will motivate those who are struggling to pay their loans to step up their game, and financial advice was also provided to them, with fantastic results.



Tuesday: The Union paid visits to all of their members at their various offices and homes in order to have good discussions with them and to provide financial advice in order to assist them grow their enterprises.



Wednesday: The media house was given opportunities to inquire from members about how the union has helped them in one way or another and to tell them that the union is always ready to do more for them.



Thursday: All of the agency's senior executives will be in the office to greet members and thank them with gifts.

Friday: All unions will be present at Koforidua to kick off the program by commemorating "International Credit Union Day."

Madam Evelyn Mensah, who has been with the union for about two years, expressed her delight after receiving a loan to develop her provision store at the University of Cape Coast. According to her, the store is now fully stocked with all of the items required by the students and lecturers.

Madam Theresa Awotwe, who has been with the union for 8 months, is overjoyed to have qualified for loans multiple times and to have paid on time. She was very pleased with how the personnel welcomed her and assisted her in running her business successfully.

Mr. J. F. Danquah concluded the discussion by encouraging everyone to come and save with them and obtain loans if needed.
