Moree Abangye Festival, 2023

Moree, The City of Light just had an awesome and beautiful moments celebrating their "Abangye" festival. This festive season was hosted by Nana Obokese Ampah who is the Apagyahen of Asebu State and a regent of Moree.

Together with the Festival Planning committee, the year's festive season saw a lot of events taken place within each day. Some events includes, Canoe regatta, Quiz competition, Miss Abangye, beach party, Artistes night, Gospel Night and many more.

The main durbar which graced the occasion happened on the 5th of August, 2023 at D/A Basic school park - Moree. Nana Obokese Ampah together with various invited dignitaries were present to make sure the ceremony goes on well. Special invited guests includes, Award winning Ghanaian rapper, Okyeame kwame together with former minister for tourism, creative arts and culture Hon. Catherine Ablema Afeku and many more.

Various citations were presented to selected natives of the community for the commitment and deserving works for the community. Some are

Okyeame Kwame as Edwumapahen and Hon Catherine Ablema Afeku as Sompahenmaa.other invited guests includes Hon. Elvis Morris Donkoh - MP for Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency and former MP for same Constituency, Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofusu and many others.
