Fatal Crash Unfolds as Church Bus Collides with Truck in Gomoa Otsew

At Gomoa Otsew, an incident unfolded that prompted swift responses from emergency services and authorities.

As recounted by the driver of a Man Diesel truck traveling from La Cote D’Ivoire to Accra, a car attempted a reckless overtaking maneuver near Gomoa Otsew. This car abruptly cut in front of the truck, seemingly trying to avoid an oncoming vehicle.

In order to avert a collision with the dangerously driven car, the truck driver swerved, unintentionally entering the path of an approaching Nissan Navara.

The resulting collision caused the truck to lose control, sending it careening off the road and into the nearby vegetation.

In a tragic turn of events, the rear trailer of the truck remained on the road and collided with the front of a Toyota Coaster bus, which was transporting 22 members of the Church of Pentecost. The Coaster bus was on its journey from Accra to Tarkwa.

The force of impact led to the immediate fatality of one individual from the church group. Heartbreakingly, this person fell from the Coaster bus and was subsequently struck by the truck.

In conclusion, the incident at Gomoa Otsew brought about rapid responses from emergency services and authorities. The outcome was devastating, with the collision leading to a tragic loss of life and underscoring the importance of cautious driving to prevent such accidents.
