Late Christian Atsu's Humanitarian Work Earns Him Spot on Prestigious List

Christian Atsu, the late Ghanaian footballer, has been included in the prestigious list of 100 Most Impactful Changemakers for the year 2022.

Humanitarian Awards Global, which releases the annual list, aims to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions towards the development of Ghana and brought about positive change in people's lives.

Atsu, who previously played for Chelsea and Newcastle, was nominated for his extensive humanitarian work, including his advocacy for prisoners' rights, which helped in freeing many inmates who could not afford to pay their fines. Humanitarian Awards Global stated that acknowledging the efforts of these individuals and non-profit organizations would encourage them to keep making a difference in their respective fields.

The list, which features individuals from various sectors such as business, politics, media, science, sports, and public life, highlights Ghanaians who are challenging the status quo and creating new paths where there were none before.

These changemakers are paving the way for history to be reshaped, inequality gaps to be closed, leaders to be groomed, new avenues for wealth creation to be explored, and lifting others up along the way.

The selection process involved nominations, extensive background checks, and board justifications to shortlist the top 100 individuals of the year based on leadership drive, influence, consistency, community and social impact.

Some of the notable personalities on the list include diplomats, board chairs, CEOs, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, scholars, chancellors, politicians, and philanthropists.

The publication aims to inspire these agents of change and motivate them to keep working towards their passion of changing lives and impacting their space.

Other notable personalities on the shortlist include Brian Amoateng, a philanthropist, Kobby Kyei, a blogger, Lady Dentaa Amoateng, an entrepreneur, Kofi Ernest, a journalist, Wendy Boatemaa Ofori, a philanthropist, and many others.

Congratulations to all the changemakers who made it to the 2022 100 Most Impactful Changemakers list.
