Marrying my best friend biggest mistake of my life – Stella Damasus

Nollywood veteran, Stella Damasus, opened up about the "biggest mistake" in her life, which she attributed to religion. In a candid conversation with Teju Babyface, she revealed that a church she attended as a choir member pressured her into marrying her best friend, who was the choir director.

Though they were fantastic friends, their attempt at being a couple didn't work out. Before her ex-husband, she had been married to someone else, but she chose to keep it quiet. That marriage lasted only eight months, and despite the guy being amazing, religion played a significant role in pushing them into marriage when they were better off as friends.

After they went their separate ways, they decided to maintain respect and love for each other by not discussing it further. They left the past behind so they could still remain on good terms and check in on each other from time to time.
