This Father’s Day Has Been Very Hard – Davido

Davido, the popular Nigerian Afrobeats star, expressed his struggle and sorrow on this year's Father's Day following the loss of his son. Despite the hardship, he managed to find strength and gratitude towards God.

Taking to his Instagram story, Davido shared a series of posts acknowledging the difficulty he faced on this particular day. He mentioned that his eyes were filled with tears, but he reassured himself that he would be alright. The untimely passing of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, in October 2022 had a profound impact on Davido and his family. Ifeanyi drowned in a pool at Davido's residence in Banana Island, Lagos State.

The heartbreaking tragedy continues to weigh heavily on Davido, and the coincidence of Father's Day on June 18th only intensified his grief. Despite the pain, Davido remains resilient, seeking solace in his faith and cherishing the memories of his late son.
