Train Smashes Taxi Cab at Alajo

In a dramatic incident this morning, a taxi cab driver managed to escape unharmed after a train traveling from Tema to Accra collided with his vehicle at Alajo in Accra. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver had attempted to cross the railway tracks in a rush but ended up getting stuck, leaving his car vulnerable to the approaching train.

The impact was so severe that the train pushed the taxi off the tracks, leaving the driver's side of the vehicle mangled. Bystanders, shocked by the sight, rushed to help the driver out of the wrecked taxi and advised him to report the incident to the police, suggesting that the train driver could face possible arrest. The driver, clearly shaken by the accident, appeared dejected as he gathered his belongings from the damaged vehicle.

The incident has sparked concerns among the public about the safety measures in place at railway crossings. Despite attempts to obtain comments from the Ghana Railway Development Authority (GRDA), no response has been received thus far.
