Book Launch: Games Men Play that Women Hate

An Author, Elder Patrick Martin Hagan has celebrated 20 years of book writing with the launch of another captivating book titled; Games Men Play That Women Hate.

Patrick Martin Hagan an Elder of the Church of Pentecost is known for his prolific writing in the Christian and marriage niches which began in 2003 with Walking with the Word as his first book published.

In all, he has eight books to his credit, including You’re who you’re, Overcoming the 7 Basic Fears In Life, The Anatomy of Courtship, The Cry of an African Mother, Breaking the Father’s Code (vol 1), and Loyal But Not a Stooge. Out of this number, four are hard prints with six of them selling on amazon.com.

Speaking at the launch of the book at the Church of Pentecost, EK Kyei Worship Centre in Tarkwa, Elder Hagan noted that “by 2000 when I was exiting the university as a Metallurgical Engineer, I already knew that I was going to be an author; something that was copiously written in my ten-point dream statement in 1999, which unmistakably had the first one as, “To become one of the outstanding writers of my generation.”



As to whether he has gotten to that level, “In my humble opinion I think that I haven’t. Except to say that I’m proud to state that one of my six (6) books published on amazon, ‘The Cry of An African Mother’, published in 2016 became a best-seller for two weeks running on the greatest online marketing platform of our time. Besides, several of my writings both in print and soft copies have been read by thousands of people across the globe. In 2021 for instance, I received a call from a woman, who identified herself as a deaconess of our church, who thanked me for writing the book, ‘The Anatomy of Courtship’, which she was using to counsel her daughters in order not for them to make the mistakes she made before she married. And for me, if the story of this woman and the many like hers are the reasons why I have to sometimes spend sleepless nights and hours to write, then it’s worth the strain”.



THE BOOK; GAMES MEN PLAY THAT WOMEN HATE
According to Elder Hagan, the book ‘Games Men Play That Women Hate’, “was conceived during one of such quiet times on 9th December 2021 at 07:10am together with other book titles when I was meditating deeply about marital issues that have become a nemesis for the world through God’s original intention for instituting it was for good.

He explained that this book “has been put together to correct some of the germane debilitating issues in a man’s world that have manacled the psychological states of most traditionally-minded men so that all men shall be free to take our rightful places in our homes as good generals”.
The book consists of 17 games gathered from over 15 years of Eld Hagan’s experience in counseling married people and those contemplating marrying.

Some of these games in the book include, ‘Discussing Her Sex-life With A Third Party, Disgracing Her In Public, Having A Side-Chick Who Is Extravagant Than The Madam, Saving The World At The Expense of Home, Being Abusive & Intolerant, Selling Her For “Money”, Treating Her As A Slave or Servant, Initiating Needless “Cold Wars etc”.
