Father Ankrah receives A Gold Plaque Award from YouTube

Eric Duodu Ankrah, popularly known as Father Ankrah, has received a gold plaque customized in his name from YouTube for becoming the first Ghanaian comedian to gain 1 Million YouTube Subscribers.
This makes him the second Ghanaian content creator to receive a gold plaque from YouTube, which is a milestone worth acknowledging and celebrating.

Father Ankrah is a social media comedian who entertains his audience through short skits of miming. He has huge audiences from the international community including India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, France, and almost all African countries. Evidently, the name Father Ankrah promises to be a household name in every part of the world.

According to him, he started out on Tiktok about a year ago before moving to YouTube four months later. He's credited with over 1.8 million followers on Tiktok and 175k on Instagram in less than two years.
His hard work, dedication to work, determination, resilience, and discipline have earned him such honorable recognition on the international front within this short space of time.


It is, in fact, safe to say that Father Ankrah, who is also hailed as 'the African Charlie Chaplain', is the fastest-growing YouTuber in Ghana.

In an interview with his manager, Mr. Eric Sarfo, he said the two met for the first time a couple of months ago on a project he was working on. Consequently, both realized that they shared similar dreams and passions and this led to the Artist-Manager relationship. "God knows why and how everything happens. Father Ankrah is just an amazing person. His passion for what he does is just on a different level. Truth is, I just feel privileged to have contributed in my own small way to this glory but one thing is for sure: Father Ankrah is just full of beautiful things. He is modest, humble, accommodating, annoyingly funny, and very hardworking. To me, this achievement shows only a little of what he is and can do. I urge everyone to support this craft" Mr Safo stated.

According to Playboard statistics, Father Ankrah's channel is the 'Most Subscribed', 'Most Popular', 'Most Growth', and 'Most Viewed' in ALL categories of YouTubers including comedy in Ghana with over 40 million weekly views. Currently with over 1.14 million subscribers worldwide, Father Ankrah promises to reach more and more people worldwide. An analysis on Playboard also revealed that Father Ankrah's channel has been on top of these charts for most parts of this year. Such an incredible performer!

Commenting on the question "How has your journey been so far", the comedian was full of praise to God.
"This is definitely not an ordinary achievement and it could not have been if God hadn't willed it. It has definitely been an interesting journey and a challenging experience as well. Our style of comedy, which involves no speech, only facial expressions and body language is a very challenging one, but God has always been with us, so here we are celebrating this milestone".
Father Ankrah cited financial constraints as his biggest challenge coming up. He believes that though the road has been a tough one, his fans kept him always going. According to the 'Hyehye na banku ba' comic actor, he would still be a lost course without the support and love from his audience.
He expressed his deepest appreciation to his fans for bringing him this far and dedicated the Gold Plaque award to everyone that loves his work.

In an interview, the 'African Charlie Chaplain', he is affectionately called, hinted that he is the originator of most viral games including the 'Flip the Bottle Challenge' which has received wide appreciation worldwide. He further promised his fans and all others his dedication to producing more entertaining videos to serve his audience with the best skits.
