Inclusive Tech Group collaborates with Golden Tree Foundation to Celebrate International Women’s Day at Nsuta -Tarkwa

Dubbed the Women of Worth Conference (WoW), the Inclusive Tech Group collaborated with Golden Tree Foundation to celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day at Nsuta -Tarkwa under the theme: "Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality".

Speaking on the topic “Innovation and Technology for Women with Disabilities", Dr. Priscilla Emefa Kove of Inclusive Tech Group and also a lecturer at the University of Mines and Technology called on the general public to embrace persons with disabilities in society.
She noted that there are lots of assistive devices like colour detectors, sign gloves, and advanced sticks for the blind among others that provide an even playing field for persons with disabilities.

She reiterated the commitment of Inclusive Tech Group to support the training of women, especially those with disabilities to become assets in the digital space.

On her part, Mrs Gloria Addisu Hasford, the founder of Golden Tree Foundation encouraged women to take advantage of the flexibility technology provides to excel in their endeavours.


She excited remote jobs and online learning as possible ways women can explore to aspire higher and take care of their families.
Speaking to Dynamite News,  Lady Pastor Barbara Azanu said, women, can use technologies available to their benefit.
She said, for instance, the mobile phone for digital marketing can help women expand their businesses.
According to her, women have to be innovative in their dealings, which will elevate them to match up with the technological advancement and make them stand out from the ordinary and technology is a key driver.
She added that they are not competing with the men rather opportunities should be given to them to learn and excel in technological fields.
The Women of Worth Conference is organized in March every year by Inclusive Tech Group and Golden Tree Foundation as part of International Women's Day to celebrate the achievements of women celebrate, motivate and empower them.
Women who have distinguished themselves by impacting lives and serving as role models in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality are also honoured.
This year’s event saw Lady Pastor Mrs Sharon Baidoe Ansah awarded the Woman of Worth Personality.
Mrs Baidoe-Ansah who is a Pastor at the Makarios Church, Station Branch and the Chief Executive Officer of Fransha Cakes and More, was awarded, based on her philanthropic activities for the poor and needy in society and her passion to empower women and persons with disabilities
