Meet Naeem Mohammed, the Ghanaian striker with 17 goals in 17 matches.

Naeem Mohammed is a 25 year-old Ghanaian striker who plays for Sandvikens IF in the Swedish Norra Division 1.

The in-form striker is a graduate of Tamale Utrecht Football Academy (TUFA) and Bolga All Stars.

He played one season in the Ghana Premier League during the 2018/2019 season with Bolga All Stars, where he played only six matches and was quickly loaned to the Swedish club.

He is currently the top scorer in the division with 17 goals in 17 matches, putting Sandvikens IF second in the league with 37 points after 18 matches.

Naeem could be the man to solve the goal scoring problem for the Black Stars heading towards the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The likes of Jordan Ayew, Richmond Boakye Yiadom and co. have failed to become reliable goal scorers for the national team, neither of them scoring at least 15 goals in each of the last three seasons.

Richmond Boakye Yiadom has 17 goals in Club and Country combined since 2019. Jordan Ayew on the other hand has 20 goals in Club and Country combined since 2019.

With less than 100 days to the World Cup, the Black Stars of Ghana have found their key players to be bench warmers in their respective clubs, including the likes of Kamaldeen Sulemana, Mohammed Kudus, Baba Iddrisu and Fataw Issahaku.

Naeem has not made any appearances for any of the national teams. This could be the time to make it happen with his fine-form.

He has scored 8 goals in his last 8 matches, making him the top scorer in the league.

It is no doubt that Ghana is in a tough group and will be facing the likes of Heung M. Son of Tottenham and Luiz Suarez, the man whose name will never be forgotten in the minds of Ghanaian football fans.

These are strikers who can guarantee any club at least 15 goals every season, hence the Black Stars of Ghana must also appear in the tournament with a proven goal scorer like Mohammed Naeem.

The pace of Naeem and Innaki Williams could be key to Ghana's success in Qatar's 2022 World Cup.
