MYHEALTH MYAFRICA: a non-profit organization, bringing basic health education to the doorsteps of rural communities in Africa

Africa's healthcare systems are dealing with significant difficulties (World News). MYHEALTH MYAFRICA was founded with the goal of influencing public health care by promoting longer, better lives through lectures and campaigns in response to Africa's unexpectedly high death rate among young people and adults.

MYHEALTH MYAFRICA, founded in 2019 by Sol Yaa Gawu, is a non-profit health organization with the mission of bringing basic health education to the doorsteps of rural communities in Africa through health campaigns, outreach services, rehabilitation, the elimination of teenage pregnancies, "getting drop-outs back to school," skills development, and poverty alleviation.

It was started to help educate communities, especially the rural ones, on various health care issues, basic health care, and to help reestablish and educate our kids.

Their goals include health education, poverty eradication, and encouraging young people to be employed and self-aware.

Sol Yaa Gawu, the organization's founder, was born in Ghana and has resided in Germany since 2008. She is a moralist, a Pan-Africanist, a mother, a nurse by trade, a musician, a humanitarian, and an educator!

In Yaa's words,

"Many of my childhood classmates and young people have already died from diseases that could have been prevented if basic knowledge about prevention and emergency medical equipment had been available."

She continued,

"Due to my childhood experiences, THE GIRL-CHILD EDUCATION in the rural areas of Africa is one of my key aims in this journey of MyHealth myAfrica. When it comes to health, most people only consider consuming three square meals a day, taking medication, or going to the doctor but MyHealth myAfrica offers a comprehensive package that includes physical, mental, social, psychological, and family planning among many other things."

Many women, especially single mothers who have lost their spouses to terrible illnesses, have benefited greatly from the financial assistance provided by the MyHealth myAfrica Team. These women were able to start their own businesses or expand existing ones so that they could better care for their families and children. Many other kids who had dropped out of school had been rehabilitated and sent back. Some of the male volunteers are presently enrolled in nursing programs, while others are undergoing auxiliary training.

Every member of the MyHealth MyAfrica team is a volunteer.

Africa still has a large number of remote, rural locations. Most with very poor roads. In addition to extra medical supplies like defibrillators, automatic blood pressure monitors, blood glucose test kits, and emergency electrograms, volunteers also require a few buses, boats, and life jackets to go to these towns, particularly the fishing areas along rivers and lakes.

Any support would be greatly appreciated.
Every donation given goes directly to the initiatives.
