RLWC21: Cook Islands seal victory over Wales to bring Round 1 to a close

Rugby League World Cup 21 so far, has been full of fun, amazing experiences and especially full of surprising turns and twists.

Yet another close encounter, Cook Islands came from behind to beat Wales 18-12 in their opening Rugby League World Cup match in Leigh.

Cook Islands was down by 4 points at the end of First Half after a tough match against the persistent Wales.

18 minutes into second Half, Davvy Moale scored a try, equalizing for the Kukis. Steven Marsters converted ,bringing the scores to 12 - 14 in favor of Cook Islands. The Kukis sealed their victory at the 63rd minute when Steven Marsters scored a try for his team.

England tops Group A, Australia tops Group B, Ireland, Group C and Cook Islands, Group D.
