Volleyball:Air Force Women, Police Men crowned champions of Super Volleyball Championship 22

On December 23, 2022, at the Ga Mashie Hall of the Trust Sport Emporium in Accra, the Ghana Police Men's Volleyball team defeated the Ghana Air Force by a score of three sets to none to claim the title of champions of the second Super Volleyball Championship 2022.
Prior to the men's championship game, the Ghana Air Force Ladies gave a valiant effort to avenge their loss to the Ghana Army in a very difficult and compelling match last year.
Teams representing security organizations, such as the Fire Service, Immigration, Prisons, and civil clubs Emmanuel Presby, Tema City, and El Wak Wings, which finished third in both the men's and women's divisions, attended the Super Volleyball Championship 2022.

The organizer, Mr. Mohammed Awudu Aputeog, praised and applauded the teams that took part. He stated that the following year will be much bigger and better.
The top three finishers in the male and female categories, he disclosed, have earned a spot in the African Zone 2 Club Championship.
The squad with the best discipline was the Fire Ladies.


The Ghana Police's thrilling smasher Hameed won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the men, and the Ghana Air Force's Skipper Martha won the award for the women. They received unique trophies. The coaches and match officials, as well as other players who performed well in serving, setting, and defending, received awards.

The Ghana Police received the best male team gold medals, followed by the Ghana Air Force in second place with the silver medal, and El Wak Wings with the third-place bronze medal.
El Wak Wings placed third in the female division and received bronze medals, with Ghana Army and Air Force winning silver and gold, respectively. The winners received 5,000 GHC, followed by the runners-up who received 3,500 GHC and the third place finisher who received 1,500 GHC.

The event's spectators, who were volleyball lovers, praised the event's organizers and wished that sponsors would sign on since they would not only help the players and clubs but also gain positive publicity and advertise their brands.

Hon. Bernard Mornah and reputable Security Forces officers were among the dignitaries who attended the contest.
