Meet the fast rising Ghanaian photographer John Seyiram Kofi Amegatse (theSeyram)

John Seyiram Kofi Amegatse Jr. an alumnus of Pope John Senior High School and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is a young Ghanaian who is currently one of the fast-rising photographers in Ghana with experience in several fields of photography and a unique approach to visual creativity. Initially, he wanted to be an actor. However, after an unsuccessful audition he decided that instead of making art in front of the camera he’d be behind it to create magic and tell stories through images.
Seyiram is a self taught photographer who owes the skills he uses to peddle his craft in a large part to YouTube . He uses that as an avenue to find new ways of doing things in this field. To him, a picture is with more than just a thousand words. He describes his best picture as an image he made using match sticks as subjects to tell a story of togetherness.
He understands the importance of learning from giants in the industry. As such he takes inspiration from photography greats such as Kafui Praise and the late Bob Pixel. He has created a niche for himself in the art and hopes to build a legacy and also create a community for creatives from Africa to share their works to the world regardless of where they are in their creative journey.


His great talent has given him the opportunity to work with some big brands in Ghana: like the French Ambassador Miss Anne Sophie AVE, Fidelity Bank, First Atlantic Bank, Tecno, 1xBet, DevTraco, Caveman Watches, Jumia among others. He sees all these as lessons and an opportunity to learn and build new skills. Clients also prefer working with him because he listens and understand what they need and delivers that and more. TheSeyram always wants his next work to be better than the previous as such he goes the extra mile to put in an above average effort to produce the best for his client or his personal project.
