Balmaisha Foundation: A Beacon of Hope for Preterm Babies and Their Parents

Tamale, GHANA - Balmaisha Foundation, a registered non-profit organization (Registration No. CG043280722), is on a mission to support premature babies and their parents in Northern Ghana, a resource-constrained area where preterm birth can be a devastating experience.
Founded in November 2021 and officially registered in July 2022, the foundation has already made significant strides in its mission. To date, it has successfully supported over 60 women in navigating their preterm journey and has donated essential medical supplies to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Balmaisha Foundation is passionately committed to helping premature babies and their parents confidently and competently overcome the negative effects of preterm situations. The foundation believes in the potential for sustainable impact through strategic investments in strengthening health and social care systems to improve premature survival rates.

Coaching and Guidance
Balmaisha Foundation supports parents by arranging specialized neonatal care for preterm babies.
Education and Training
The foundation provides psychological and moral support to parents of preterm babies through advocacy. It engages the public in conversations to raise awareness about the emotional challenges of raising a premature infant. Regular sensitization programs are organized to increase public awareness and support for children with developmental problems due to prematurity.
Support and Guidance
Balmaisha Foundation provides medical assistance to preterm babies and works to dispel misconceptions associated with prematurity. It offers psychological and moral support to parents of preterm babies through advocacy and home visits, assisting them in caring for their infants.
