The Story of Clement Kwaku Matorwmasen, The dreamer Who Built A Village From Scratch

Clement Kwaku Matorwmasen is a dreamer. He's been dreaming his whole life, and he's been making those dreams come true for the last twenty years.

Clement in 2007, envisioned creating a hub for the old generation to transfer experience and knowledge to the newer generation, it only made sense to create this hub where a lot of unskilled young people already came to find inspiration and to connect them to the global community.

He grew up in Ghana, a country in Africa that has experienced poverty for generations in some parts of the country especially where Clement Grew up. But Clement didn't see this as an obstacle; he just saw it as another challenge to overcome. He knew that if he had a vision and could find a way to make it happen, then he could make his dreams come true. So that's what he did—he built his own village from scratch!

Clement decided that he wanted to live somewhere where there was plenty of space and peace, so he bought some land near Lake Volta and started building his home there with the Support of Her beautiful wife. Soon after, other people began buying into Clements vision and wanted to experience it, So Clement kept building more houses in order to accommodate them all!

Now, his village has grown into something much bigger than just himself—it's become a place where people can come together and share ideas about how to improve themselves individually as well as collectively. Some of their ideas span from Creating food forest, planting trees, provide safe drinking water and energy solutions, building a regenerative college and enhancing indigenous knowledge sharing

The bigger part of this vision is the setup of Dreamivill as an incubation program for local youth where they are challenged to dream of an entrepreneurial future and are given the training and skills needed to turn these dreams into a reality.

Dream Village is located in Zongo Macheri- Ghana, It was created in 2017 out of a need to support the youth who came for jobs at our Green Gold Farms.

He has dedicated his entire life as a global changemaker, working with grassroots/rural communities to find creative solutions that work to improve lives.

Clements focus area is regenerative agriculture/economies, safe drinking water, informal education, skills and talent development and creating regenerative communities in Africa

Clement was recently featured in a Movie Titled Zongo.
ZONGO, a full feature film entirely directed and produced by elias mierbeth and michael herzog. OFFICIAlLY NOMINATED FOR THE GLOBE AND DIKALO FILM AWARD 2021.

About the film

ZONGO tells the story of Clement waking up in prison after an attempted suicide in the streets of Ghana. It is the journey of his path from poverty and hopelessness towards creating opportunities for societal progress of the rural youth in the region. In the tradition of campfire storytelling, Clement opens a mysterious world of tribes, black magic and his life philosophy. He takes us into an african story, directed by the people’s spirit and the continent itself. The filmmakers Elias Mierbeth and Michael Herzog give a voice to Clement, his childhood and youth marked by fear of death and the struggle for survival. Images and sound unobtrusively draw attention to the circumstances of the Ghanaian people without operating on clichés. The movie does not classify, instead it leaves Clement the power to unravel his experiences. Superstition, disease, and poverty turns into a lesson about the importance of education, hope and dreams.

The film is a fragment of reality, of a country, of a continent yet it shows this fragment with unusual sensitivity. Powerful pictures, bright colors, people full of beauty pull us into a world completely different from what we are used to from the news. In the end it is us who have just learned a lot from this young man, his story, his courage, his dream.

Which how the dream of building Dreamivil started and manifested
