United Force for Development: Championing Sustainable Development in Northern Ghana

Tamale, GHANA - United Force for Development (UF4D), a prominent non-governmental national development organization, is marking its tenth year of impactful service in Ghana. Established in 2010, UF4D has been steadfastly committed to implementing development programmes and advocacy initiatives that significantly enhance the quality of life for individuals residing in rural and underdeveloped regions of Ghana.
UF4D, registered under the Companies Code of Ghana (1963, Act 179) on March 2, 2010, with registration Number G-31,655, operates as a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) with a clear focus on the sustainable development of Northern Ghana. Our slogan, “Sustainable Developmental Goal in Northern Ghana; Our Concern’’, reflects our unwavering commitment to this cause.
Our vision is to inspire and create a world where energy is produced and consumed in a manner that benefits both the environment and people, and where the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals have been achieved. Our mission is to partner with state agencies, communities, and youth groups to design and implement programmes that enhance community resilience, foster climate change adaptation, and promote sustainable energy use to support sustainable livelihoods.
UF4D’s development objectives are multi-faceted and include collaborating with key stakeholders both locally and internationally to share knowledge aimed at safeguarding our climate while promoting sustainable livelihoods. We are dedicated to gathering information, conducting investigations, and carrying out research on the physical, environmental, economic, social, legal, and technical aspects of various energy resources.
We strive to disseminate information about the generation and utilization of renewable energy to the public and lobby government and legislators to establish favourable policies for the development of renewable energy resources, particularly for the disadvantaged. We advocate for inclusive, accessible, and quality basic education for all children of school-going age in Ghana.
UF4D supports and promotes the growth of small enterprises such as climate-smart agricultural development, pumped irrigation, etc. We implement and promote projects related to renewable energy for the welfare of people and for economic development.
