Apostle Dr. Mawuli Mawuko, the General Overseer of Glory of Heaven Ministry International (GHMI), has called into question the deafening silence of prophets in Ghana in these harsh economic times.
This call by the servant of the Lord, himself, a prophet, is premised on the fact that during harsh economic times in the history of the Jews, their prophets came out to speak to warn them and also to encourage the people of God.
In a sermon titled “How to identify a true prophet from a false prophet”, Apostle bemoaned the fact that during elections and towards the end of the year, one can hear the voices of prophets competing for attention in the media but these prophets seem to have nothing to say from the Lord when things have become this difficult in Ghana.
In his sermon to the congregation at Faith Centre – GHMI on Sunday, 21st August, 2022. he said “sometimes people who get closer to our leaders are there because of their stomach. They end up singing the praises of these leaders…Are there prophets in the land of Ghana? If there are prophets, this is the time for them to prophesy. We need the "Elishas" of our time to speak to the king about a reduction in fuel prices. Especially those prophets who prophesied about the enthronement of the king, we need them now. We plead with them”.
