GUPS PRESIDENT HONOURED BY VALLEY VIEW UNIVERSITY - SRC

The Students' Representative Council of Valley View University has honored the President of the Ghana Union of Professional Students (GUPS), Her Excellency Emily Jemima Nyarko, with a citation appreciating her unwavering support and sterling leadership during her Administration as the President.

This is a significant achievement for President Nyarko, as it is recognition of her hard work and dedication to the GUPS union. It is also a testament to the strong relationship between Valley View University SRC and GUPS.

The citation was presented to President Nyarko during the Valley View University SRC handing over and consecration ceremony on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

In her acceptance speech, President Nyarko thanked the Valley View University SRC for the honor and expressed her gratitude to the GUPS union for its support. She also encouraged other students to get involved in student leadership and to work to make their unions stronger.



President Nyarko's recognition is a reminder of the importance of student leadership. Students play a vital role in shaping the future of their universities and their countries. By getting involved in student leadership, students can make a real difference in the lives of their peers and in the world around them.



The president also encouraged the newly elected SRC executives on their newly begun journey of leadership and to strive through it all.



Among dignitaries present were the Chancellor of the university, Professor Robert Osei Bonsu, Vice Chancellor Professor William Kofi Koomson, Dean of Students' Life, Dr. Martha Duah, the current SRC President of the university, H.E Shadrack Amoateng Kodua and his predecessor, H.E Mordecai Nsiah Dwomoh.
