North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has called for the dissolution of the SSNIT board following the termination of the sale of 60% of its shares in four hotels to Rock City Hotel, owned by Agriculture Minister Bryan Acheampong.
Ablakwa, supported by Organized Labour and other unions, played a key role in halting the sale.
He told Citi News that the SSNIT board disregarded clear signs and due process, despite the transaction adviser warning it was a bad deal.
Ablakwa insists that those responsible for this "state capture" must be held accountable and that the board should be dissolved.
