The Court of Appeal has unanimously dismissed an appeal by Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, who contested the charges against him in the Fake Ambulance Trial as defective.
Forson argued that the charges of wilfully causing financial loss and misapplying public property lacked sufficient details.
The Court of Appeal, comprising Justices Bright Mensah, Bartels-Kodwo, and Amaleboba, rejected this claim, affirming that the charges were properly detailed and complied with legal requirements.
The court emphasized that charges should be interpreted as a whole, not by isolating specific phrases, thus upholding the High Court's decision to proceed with the trial.
