Kwadwo Appiagyei-Atua, an Associate Professor at the University of Ghana School of Law, has called for the resignation of Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame, to restore public trust in Ghana's justice system.
He urged President Akufo-Addo to dismiss Dame if he doesn't resign.
This follows allegations by Richard Jakpa, a defendant in the ambulance purchase trial, who claimed Dame previously sought his help to build a case against Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
Appiagyei-Atua suggests a parliamentary probe or special inquiry if resignation or dismissal doesn't occur, emphasizing the need for credible investigation.
