The Attorney-General, Godfred Dame, has opposed an application to dismiss charges and halt proceedings against Richard Jakpa, co-accused in Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson's trial.
The AG called the application an abuse of process and meritless, stating no valid grounds were presented. He argued the application aimed to evade prosecution for Jakpa's role in causing financial loss through the purchase of vans misrepresented as ambulances.
The AG emphasized that the prosecution's case is based on solid evidence from thorough investigations.
The AG described the application as frivolous and a waste of the Court's time, asserting it was part of a strategy to undermine the prosecution and the court's integrity.
